All guides

What you need

Bosch makes enterprise-grade cameras. RTSP is available but may need to be enabled in the web interface.

  • Bosch IP camera on your network
  • Camera admin credentials
  • A computer on the same LAN
  • A PanoraCast account

Step 1: Find your camera's IP address

Use the Bosch IP Helper tool or Bosch Video Security Client to discover cameras on your network. Both are free downloads from boschsecurity.com.

Step 2: Enable RTSP

Some Bosch models have RTSP disabled by default. Log into the camera's web interface, navigate to Configuration > Network > RTSP, and enable it. Set the port to 554.

Step 3: Copy your RTSP URL

Bosch cameras use an RTSP tunnel path.

bash
# Standard RTSP URL
rtsp://admin:[email protected]:554/rtsp_tunnel

Step 4: Add to PanoraCast

In your PanoraCast dashboard, click 'Add Camera', paste the RTSP URL, and test the connection.

Troubleshooting

Common issues:

  • RTSP disabled — Must be explicitly enabled in the web interface for many Bosch models
  • Authentication — Bosch uses digest authentication. Verify credentials in the web interface
  • Enterprise VMS — If the camera is managed by Bosch BVMS, you may need to configure RTSP access through the VMS
